My father, 93 years old and recently widowed, returned to his home this summer for the first time after my mother’s passing. My Dad is cognitively very aware but has physical difficulties and health concerns. We started with part-time caregivers during the day to assist us. This became difficult since my wife and I work. We decided to try a live-in caregiver for 5 days/week. The caregivers were good, however, there seemed to be a “disconnect” with managers at the franchised caregiver agency. Something as simple as a phone call that the caregiver was ill and left early seemed difficult for them. We found Reliable Home Care Angels on a Place for Mom. What a difference! We were very pleased with the caregivers and more than pleased with owners and managers who were proactive in solving any issues. I was very happy working with reliable Homecare Angels. Whenever I called, Monisha was always accessible. She took the time and care to listen to our needs. She worked diligently to find and place a home care aide that met our needs. She took the time to do a follow up call on “How are things going?” Once an aide had a family emergency and needed to leave. When [name removed] did not reach me on the first phone call to inform me of the issue she was so concerned that if she did not get me on the second phone call she was considering a drive over to my mother’s apartment to spell the aide. I like that she cared enough to want to meet and greet my mother. I would highly recommend this agency.
